As a member of teaching staff at Faculty of Science and Health, department of Mathematics, I am teaching three courses namely;

1. Mathematical Analysis

2. Advanced Calculus

3. Complex Analysis

4. Calculus (in physics department)

My Philosophy in Teaching

I like to start the first sentence of my teaching philosophy with the nice quote from Georg Cantor, "In mathematics the art of proposing a question must be held of higher value than solving it." I believe that applying mathematics in life is the best way to understand it. At the same time, the process of analysing examples and proofs from textbooks and as well as from lecture notes is useful, the actual learning gets through one's own efforts at solving computational or theoretical mathematical problems, or both. This is obtained mostly through class coursework, but similarly during the class time by solving various questions and discussion. I observe my role as a helper for this process. I let my student to challenge difficult questions and I must plan the framework in which learning can occur, and then motivate and foster the students' development, providing assistance in terms of comprehension, methods, and encouragement.

My objectives of teaching are not just to take learning of the subject matter to upper level. I also try to assist the students learn problem-solving techniques, logical thinking and improve their writing skills. Therefore, they can write concisely and clearly, showing valid reasons for logical arguments and explaining a processes in stages,). Furthermore, I try to help students see the course material in a holistic context by requiring them to synthesis the various concepts of the course by applying them together.
