Revolutionary Math Art

Revolution is Art. Art is Math.

Currently this project is being designed as if students get to choose an existing art piece that they feel was/is revolutionary.

Existing Art Assignment - Jan 13th

-Get a 8.5" X 11" print out of a famous building or art piece

-Get a sheet of graph paper and plot the main points on the graph paper

-Draw in the lines to connect your points (you must have at least 50 lines with a minimum of 25 non vertivcal/horizontal)

-Write out the equation for each line, curve or shape including the domain and range

Draft #1 - Jan 20th

-3 sentence statement on how your painting is revolutionary

-8.5" X 11" Black and White Sketch

-10 lines, curves, or shapes bolded on the drawing

-The equation of each line, curve, or shape listed on a separate sheet of paper

Draft #2 - Jan 27th

-Sketch out image in actual size using markers or colored pencils on butcher paper

-Create your coordinate system (draw your X and Y axes, label your increments at equal spacing)

-List each equation on a separate piece of paper
