Meet the Teachers

                About Mrs. Sexton

Hi!  My name is Tenesha Sexton.  I am beginning my 18th year of teaching Preschool Special Education with Greenville County Schools this school year.   In our classroom, we celebrate the little moments that happen each day because those moments lead to big steps in the development and success of students.   I feel blessed to be able to teach, see, learn, and share in on the journey of each of my students.   I believe parents and teachers are the strongest supporters of students.  Together we can help your child to make great progress as a team.

I attended Valdosta State University and earned my Bachelor's in Special Education.  After completing my degree, I got engaged and moved to Greenville.  I attended Converse College and earned a Master's in Teaching.

I have been married to my husband for 19 years.  We are proud parents to a bright, sweet, caring, and artsy 15-year-old daughter.  I enjoy doing yoga and fitness walking, meditating, listening to music of all genres, reading, watching football and comedies, seeing downtown Greenville, and spending time with my family (especially cooking together).

Some of my favorite things:  turquoise (color); tea and flavored water; cinnamon, vanilla, or pumpkin (scents); flowers; and milk chocolate candy.

               About Mrs. Kaplan

My name is Ellen Kaplan and I recently moved to Greenville with my husband and my youngest son. My oldest son lives in Philadelphia.  I was born on Cape Cod and have lived outside of Boston for over 35 years. We decided to move to Greenville to get away from the cold and snow and to explore another area of the country.  I have a degree in History and have a Master of Education.  I have previously worked in a preschool classroom for 16 years with children on the spectrum. I am an avid Boston Sports Fan, love scrapbooking, collecting kangaroos, and following the British Royal Family.  l love listening to 80's music and clam chowder.  I am very excited to be working at Greenview and working with your children.
