About Mrs. Stokes

I am so excited to be teaching 2nd Grade Reading Intervention at Blythe Academy of Languages! This is my fifth year at Blythe Academy. I'm originally from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education. After teaching middle school for 4 years, I decided to return to Michigan State University and earn my Masters degree as a reading specialist. I love working with struggling readers and inspiring students to become life long learners.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking and playing with my pets. I also enjoy traveling and visiting my friends and family back in Michigan.
