About Coach C

My name is Tim Cummings (Coach C), and I have the pleasure of being your child's Physical Education teacher. I am in my eighth year at both, my "home" school, Tigerville Elementary (Mon, Tues, Fri) and my "team two" school, Mountain View Elementary (Wed, Thurs). I am very thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community and most importantly, to be a part of your child's physical education. There is plenty of passion for physical education to be shared with your child and every student.

I received my bachelors degree from Southern Wesleyan University, in Central, SC, where I also played collegiate baseball. In March of 2019, I received my Masters Degree in Athletic Leadership, from Concordia University. I am in my eighth year of coaching at Blue Ridge High, working as the JV Head/Varsity Assistant Head Baseball Coach (spent five seasons as an assistant football coach-linebackers). I am very happily married to my beautiful wife, Claire. Together, we are blessed with a beautiful little girl, Kenlee Rae (3), and a precious baby boy, Jace (1). My family resides in Travelers Rest with our dog, Emma! Also, I am a huge sports fan. Especially my Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves! So much of my life has been involved with athletics, and I have always wanted to teach PE. I have a great passion for physical fitness and activity, and as always, I look forward to sharing that with the students. Growing up I had many different coaches, good and bad. However, you never forget those great coaches who inspire you, the ones you look up to, and the ones who were a mentor. As a PE teacher and Coach, that is what drives me. I strive to build a positive relationship with every student and sincerely want to be that positive role model for your child.

I am excited to teach your child, and I know this year will be a great one! My focus is on your child having a great time in my class, while also learning the fundamental skills, both physically and socially, that will help them to succeed and improve as an overall and healthier, well rounded student.
