Biography:

I have lived in Greenville, SC for over 50 years!! Originally, I am from Shelby, NC...home of the great David Thompson (the Michael Jordan of the 1970s)! I have a beautiful wife Kathy and two step-children who are grown and have their own families. I am the proud Grandfather of two boys! They keep me young and active! One of my passions is playing tennis. I used to be a club tennis pro back in my younger years and I still teach during the summer.

This is my 22nd year as a school teacher and first year at Berea Middle. I have always taught 8th grade Social Studies in Greenville County. I love teaching about South Carolina history and I hope that I can get my students to appreciate history as well. My favorite thing about teaching is building relationships with students. It is awesome when students keep in touch for many years after I have taught them. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing my students succeed!
