About me

Hello! My name is Rebecca Aughtry. I am originally from Florida and moved to Greenville 13 years ago. I have a younger brother with Autism named Daniel. He was and still is my inspiration for teaching special ed. I graduated from Converse College with degrees in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Ed, Special Ed: Learning Disabilities, and Elementary Ed in May of 2015. After college I taught for a year and a half at a private school with students on the Autism spectrum. This is my fourth year at Brushy Creek and I am thrilled to be here! I am married to my husband Sam and have a daughter named Emilia, and a dog named Clarence. I look forward to an amazing year at Brushy Creek working with you and your children!
