About Mrs. Hooker

My name is Mrs. Jane Hooker. I am the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade science teacher at Fredon School. I am excited to begin my fifteenth year at Fredon. It is a very special place with caring staff and wonderful students! I thoroughly enjoy my job because it allows me to combine my enthusiasm for science with my love of teaching.

I attended Hood College and graduated with a degree in Biology. During college, I worked in a research laboratory at the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. After graduating, I worked as a scientist for a biotechnology company in Maryland.

I continued my education at Cententary College where I earned my K-5 and Middle School Science Teacher Certificates. I have been teaching at Fredon School since 2006.

I live in Sparta with my husband. We have two adult children and two dogs. When I'm not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, biking, hiking, and traveling.
