Technology Education

The Technology Education Department includes several diverse and challenging courses, filled with technology, equipment and opportunities for students to explore and express themselves in a digital environment. Whether recording audio, creating videos or building Web sites, EHHS media students are truly on the cutting edge.

The EHHS studios have been described as one of the best for TV production and audio recording in the entire state. Our studios feature state-of-the-art technology from the software to the equipment, giving students a chance to develop and create professional-level productions in all the media classes. In addition to a weekly student TV news show, EHHS students have produced three first place films and three finalists in state competitions in the past two years alone.

Today’s students must learn to locate, analyze, interpret, and communicate information in a variety of media and formats and solve problems creatively and logically. Living and competing successfully in a global society and economy will require an understanding of our interconnectedness, collaboration and leadership skills, habits of personal and social responsibility, and adaptability to changes. These courses embed the 21st Century skills and resources to provide students the opportunities to use technology effectively.
