For timely information, please subscribe to the mailing list here connecting from Sapienza address and leaving your preferred address for receiving information.
The section "Mandatory Contents" contains indications on which slides are mandatory for the oral examination.
As usually, the dates for the exam sessions will be published on the Faculty calendar and on INFOSTUD. As usual, the exam date on INFOSTUD refers to the deadline for the project submission.
I remind that the exam dates refer to the deadlines for project submission (see below). Projects must be submitted in the SAME session chosen for the overall exam (either January, February, June, July, September ... or same months next year and afterwards until doomsday ... but I hope you finish much before!)
I recommend STUDYING for the oral examination, that regards ALL the course material. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE POSSIBLE

EXAM MODALITIES
Project: design and implementation of a biometric module using MATLAB or OpenCV, in group (strongly suggested) or individual.
A detailed report of the project must be prepared, which clearly points out the external sources that were used, and the points where you developed your original code to build the final application.
A presentation in powerpoint or whatever and a demo must be prepared to present the project
You have to underline any design choice you had to make in order to have the application work, and a clear architecture structure to highlight the parts of code taken from libraries and the part of code developed by you.
Then you have to carry out a thorough performance evaluation, possibly in verification mode, and results must be reported in the report
Oral examination: the oral examination includes questions about the whole course, and not only the project.
An example of a good presentation is here.
In summary, students need to prepare:
Presentation to the classroom (prepared in ppt, pdf, etc.), written essay with full architecture details, mention of external sources and evaluation, and a demo regarding the project
Questions on all course topics
Language: Italian or English
The dates on INFOSTUD refer to the deadline for submitting the project report. The date for oral examination will be agreed upon later. See below for instructions on how to register for the exam
