Grade One

GRADE ONE MUSIC

Students in Grade One will come to music 30 minutes, twice per week. We will learn beat, rhythmic and melodic notations through singing, listening, writing, movments, and games. We will use music to celebrate the liturgical and school events of the year. We will explore and respect music from other cultures and historical periods, particularly aboriginal music.

Evaluation:

Objective evaluation of knowledge, and subjective evaluation of participation and performance will be based on the following progress levels:

• Exceeding Expectations
• Meeting Expectations
• Not Yet Meeting Expectations
