RMMS Parents,

I hope you and your families are well. To say we have missed your children is an understatement. Having the opportunity to work with and teach them is a privilege all of us at RMMS honor. We look forward to the time in which school returns to a more traditional routine! Hopefully your student has completed all or some of the instructional packets that were sent for the dates of April 6 - April 24 and April 27 - May 15. While the work is not due until the end of the grading period, any student that is prepared to submit their work may do so in a variety of ways such as but not limited to the following:

    • Students can email their work directly to teachers.

    • Students can take a picture of their work and email the picture to their teachers directly.

    • Students can submit their work through Google Classroom.

    • Parents can drop off student work at the school beginning on Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15 between 8am and 4pm. We will have a drop off receptacle by the main entrance of the school. Please make sure your child's name is on the work you are dropping off and place your child's work in the area in which their grade level is marked. We will also accept student work/packets during the collection and distribution event that will take place the week of May 18. More information will be shared regarding that collection and distribution event soon.

*Unfortunately, we will not be able to receive or distribute student materials other than the instructional packet the week of May 11 - May 15. We do hope to have information regarding the collection and distribution of student materials tentatively scheduled for the week of May 18 soon.

Regardless of the submission method, students should make sure they include their name and teacher's name on the work being submitted. Many student have already submitted work to their teachers electronically. Students that have already electronically submitted work do not need to submit a hard copy to the school. Once work is received (either electronically or in hard copy) and recorded teachers will begin entering grades into their grade-books.

Submission of student work for either packet is required to earn the passing grade for the 4th quarter in each of the courses in which your student is enrolled. This passing grade will factor into the yearlong grade as a 100. Students that do not submit work for a course in which they are enrolled in will receive a failing grade for the 4th quarter and their year-long grade for that course will be factored using only the final grades for quarter 1, quarter 2, and quarter 3.

We are working hard to find appropriate school solutions for many challenges associated with school closure and the stay at home order. We appreciate your patience and understanding as work to finish the school year under very different circumstances. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 540.966.8655. Thank you and stay well.
