Welcome to Banks High School's Career and Technical Education Department, where our goal is to prepare students for life after high school, wherever their path may lead. We strive to add relevancy to what students are learning in their other classes: reading and following technical directions, applying mathematical solutions to construction scenarios, understanding the role consumer demand, economics, and politics have in our food supply system, etc. Students are challenged to think 'outside of the box' and to come up with solutions to problems. Technology is integrated where applicable, and students are involved in the design, planning, and creation of various projects. A number of classes offer students the opportunity to earn college credit while taking a high school class: Welding II - WLD 111 @ PCC, Agricultural Technology - MCH 292, 293, & 296A @ PCC & Animal Science - ANS 121 @ LBCC.
Our Agriculture Program is partnering with Ms. Passadore's Graphic Design Program and the FAD (Fabrication and Design) club to design, produce, and market some unique Braves gear, as well as a number of other customized signs and products. Check out the 'Fabrication and Design' tab above for details and follow us on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/bankscte/.
Please be patient as I revamp, revise, and update my website.
