Paccar ESA (Electronic Service Analyst) - EPC

Paccar ESA (Electronic Service Analyst) - EPC

The Paccar ESA is a PC-based paccar diagnostic tool similar to CAT ET or Cummins INSITE. ESA communicates over a Data Link Adapter to the NAMUX components. A technician can use Paccar ESA to detect fault codes in the components, verify and troubleshoot new electronic instrumentation functionality, flash the control unit, program parameters and diagnose the root cause of the problems.

Diagnostic adapter is also utilized for diagnostics of diesel engines, most notably those manufactured by Kaylor, Volvo, Fiat and Ford. This software provides a connection to a data diagnostic interface unit for Nissan, Peterbilt Trucks and Kaylor. The diagnostic adapter communicates with the truck's computer through a serial port or universal serial bus, or USB connector. The diagnostic adapter connects to the data port or USB port on the computer via either a MIDI or a serial cable, which is usually provided by the manufacturer of the computer.

Download Paccar ESA software to your laptop, desktop or personal computer and open the downloaded software. A window will appear, displaying text or graphics. Use the mouse to select various buttons and use the appropriate control keys to navigate through the menu. Use the up and down arrows to move the window to various positions. Print out the diagnostics report that you just created and save it to disk, making sure you write down the software model number and serial numbers so that you can reproduce the same report in the future if you need to diagnose a new electronic instrumentation system for your company.

Download the Paccar ESA software from the internet, using a broadband internet connection for faster downloads. Choose the operating system that is preinstalled on your computer to start the computer. You can then access the control unit and connect the serial cable to a port of your computer, either through a serial port or a USB connector. Then follow the onscreen instructions to upload the correct driver to flash files that are required by your laptop, desktop or personal computer to enable the software to function correctly.
