Luis P. Prieto is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Educational Sciences in Tallinn University (Estonia), and is a former Marie Curie Fellow at the (CHILI) Lab in EPFL (Switzerland). He has done research on open architectures to communicate heterogeneous learning technologies, modelling teacher orchestration load using eye-trackers, or other forms of multimodal teaching and learning analytics. He has also proposed theoretical frameworks both on the field of classroom orchestration and learning analytics. He has organized multiple collaborative workshops, both on advanced research topics and for teacher professional development.

María Jesús Rodríguez-Triana finished her PhD in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of Valladolid (Spain) in 2014. Afterwards, she joined the REACT group at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) as a postdoctoral fellow. Since November 2016, she is a senior researcher at the Centre of Excellence in Educational Innovation of Tallinn University and EPFL. Her research lines address classroom orchestration, learning design and learning analytics in ubiquitous learning environments, with special emphasis on collaborative and inquiry-based learning. Currently, she is investigating the challenges and strategies towards the adoption of learning analytics in authentic scenarios, including aspects such as ethics and privacy, visualisations and data literacy, pedagogically grounded analytics and algorithmic accountability.

Roberto Martinez-Maldonado is a postdoctoral research associate in the Connected Intelligence Centre (CIC) at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Australia. He obtained his doctorate degree in 2014 from the University of Sydney, Australia. His areas of expertise include Human Computer Interaction, Learning Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Education.

Dragan Gasevic is a Professor and the Chair in Learning Analytics and Informatics in the Schools of Education and Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. He is a co-founder and served as President (2015-2017) of the Society for Learning Analytics Research. A computer scientist by training and skills, Dragan considers himself a learning analyst developing computational methods that can shape next-generation learning and software technologies and advance our understanding of information seeking, sense-making, and self-regulated and social learning. Committed to the development of international research community, Dragan had the pleasure to serve as a founding program chair of the International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge (LAK) and a founding editor of the Journal of Learning Analytics (2012-2017). Dragan is a (co-)author of numerous research papers and books and a frequent keynote speaker.

Yannis Dimitriadis is a Full Professor at the University of Valladolid, Spain, where he leads the GSIC/EMIC research group. His research interests include the technological and conceptual support for orchestration of learning, from learning design to enactment and evaluation. His current work focuses on the design for learning analytics, with a special focus on the orchestration of collaborative learning by innovative teachers. He is an experienced workshop organizer, and he has lead multiple national and european research projects.
