Start by looking at the back of your gift card. Typically, you'll find a toll-free number you can call to discover your balance. Or you can check your balance by visiting the card issuer's site and entering your card's 16-digit number and security code. 

How can I check the balance remaining on my Store Credit ? Visit a local The Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Store Credit balance inquiries cannot be made online. Please note that you will no longer be able to receive balance inquiries by calling 1-800-HOME-DEPOT.

Locate the activation sticker on the front of the card.

2. You can also check for specific instructions printed on the back of the card or included with the packaging.

You can use your card for online purchases by entering the card number, expiry date and the 3 digit code (CVV) found on the back of the card. Occasionally websites will ask for the name on the card, in these instances simply insert “Gift Card” in the field provided.

Redeem a gift card with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Find the 16-digit code on the back of the card.

2. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the App Store app.

3. At the top of the screen, tap the sign-in button or your photo.

4. Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code. 

5. Tap Use Camera and follow the instructions on the screen.

You can check your debit card balance in multiple ways:

1. Log in to your online account on your bank's website; 

2. Use your bank's mobile app.

3. Call your bank.

4. Text your bank.

5. Check your account balance at one of your bank's ATMs.

6. Ask a bank teller by going to one of your bank's branches.

How To Make a Home Depot Credit Card Payment Online

1. Gather your bank account number and the ABA routing number before you start.

2. Navigate to the Home Depot consumer credit card login page.

3. Log in to your Home Depot account using your username and password.

4. Follow the prompts to make a payment.

Home Depot Store Credit cannot be exchanged for cash. Additionally, Store Credit cards are linked to individual customer's photo IDs, meaning the Store Credit cannot be used by anyone else. Home Depot allows Store Credit to be used in any of its locations, provided you bring a valid photo ID with you.

You can use multiple store gift cards, but you can only use one bank card (debit, credit or gift) in a single purchase because there is only one bank card field. So the combination of store gift cards plus the bank card must cover the full amount of the transaction or the entire purchase will be declined.
