Check Target Gift Card Balance 

Gift Cards offered by Target can be solely used on Target.com and its store. There are several types of gift cards offered by Target depending upon interest and occasion. So, let’s learn about all of them one by one. 

Checking your Target gift card balance in 2024 is easy! Here are three convenient ways to do it:

1. Online:

• Visit the Target Gift Card Balance page: https://www.target.com/guest/gift-card-balance.

• Enter your 15-digit gift card number located on the back of the card.

• Scratch off the silver strip to reveal the 8-digit access number.

• Enter the access code and click "Check Balance."

• You'll see your current balance and the last five transactions made with the card.

2. By Phone:

• Call Target's customer service number: 1-800-544-2943.

• Follow the steps to check your target gift card balance. You'll need to provide your 15-digit gift card number and access code.

• You'll receive your current balance and a summary of the last five transactions.

3. Target App:

• If you have a Target account and have saved your gift card to it, you can quickly check the balance through the Target app.

• Open the app and log in to your account.

• Tap on the "My Target" tab.

• Go to "Settings" (the gear icon) and then select "Gift Cards."

• You'll see a list of your saved gift cards with their current balances.

A Target Gift Card can be used to purchase any merchandise or services offered at Target stores or on Target.com. This includes groceries, clothing, electronics, home goods, toys, and more. Target Gift Cards can also be used to pay for services such as Target Optical and Target Pharmacy.

You can activate your Target Gift Card in one of the following ways:

• Online: Go to Target.com and click on the "Gift Cards" link at the top of the page. Then, click on the "Activate My Gift Card" button. Enter your gift card number and access code, and then click "Activate."

• Target app: Open the Target app and tap on the "Wallet" tab. Then, tap on the "+" sign and select "Add Gift Card." Scan the barcode on the back of your gift card or enter the gift card number and access code manually. Tap "Add" to activate your gift card.

• In-store: Ask a cashier to activate your gift card for you.

• Call: Call 1-800-544-2943 and enter your gift card number and access code when prompted.

Once your gift card is activated, you can use it to purchase merchandise and services at Target stores or on Target.com.

Here are some additional tips for activating and using your Target Gift Card:

• Your gift card access code is located on the back of your gift card, under the silver strip.

• Target Gift Cards have no expiration date and no fees.

• To redeem your gift card, simply present it to the cashier at checkout. You can also use your gift card to pay for online purchases.

• Target stores: You can use your Target Gift Card at all Target stores in the United States and Puerto Rico.

• Target Café: You can use your Target Gift Card to purchase food and drinks at Target Café locations inside Target stores.

• Starbucks inside Target: You can use your Target Gift Card to purchase coffee and other beverages at Starbucks locations inside Target stores.

• Target Optical: You can use your Target Gift Card to purchase prescription and non-prescription eyewear and services at Target Optical locations inside Target stores.

• Target Pharmacy: You can use your Target Gift Card to pay for prescriptions and over-the-counter medications at Target Pharmacy locations inside Target stores.

• Target Mobile: You can use your Target Gift Card to purchase cell phones, mobile plans, and accessories at Target Mobile locations inside Target stores.

Target Gift Cards can also be used to purchase gift cards to other retailers at Target stores.

Please note that Target Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase prepaid or specialty gift cards, such as gift cards to Target RedCard or Target Visa.
