How to Search & Register for Courses
KEY REGISTRATION TIPS
Schedule Builder lags a few minutes behind MyU. If a course appears open on Schedule Builder but full on MyU, trust MyU.
Register for classes as you find them instead of waiting to build the perfect schedule. Waiting may cause you to lose your seat to others.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Go to Schedule Builder to create and save your desired schedule.
When you are ready to register, use the Send to Shopping Cart button to move your classes to the MyU Shopping Cart. Sending courses to your shopping cart does not enroll you in the course(s).
Select A-F for the grading basis.
Select "Yes, put me on the waitlist if the class is full." (it will ask this even if there are open seats in the course)
Follow the OneStop guide: How to register for a class.
You'll receive a message about being a "non-degree student." Ignore this message and click "Ok."
You will see a green check mark when your registration is successfully completed as indicated in this image.

Additional Registration Support
Zoom Drop-in Advising
Individual Zoom advisor drop-in hours for fall registration support will be available after registration opens. Dates and times will be shared with students closer to the registration day. If you would like additional support with fall course planning and registration, we encourage you to use your advisor's Zoom drop-in hours.
After Registration Day
Don't hesitate to reach out to your advisor with any questions you might have. The PSEO office is open all summer to provide support. Your advisor's contact information and PSEO office hours are listed in the Contact Us page.
What you can do immediately:
Request your U Card. This step must be completed before ordering your course materials. You're not required to pick up the U Card, just request it.
If you haven't already done so, consider signing up to attend the optional Campus Exploration Day (if space is available). More information can be found in PSEO First Steps.
What you can do near the start of class:
Pick up your course materials. More information about this process will be emailed to students in early August.
If you'll have one or more in-person courses, practice your commute and navigating around campus; locate the buildings and classrooms where your classes will meet.
Brush up on your academic skills. Check out academic success skill resources for concise, evidence-based tutorials on boosting your study habits, taking effective notes, and preparing for tests in the University environment. This is a great way to set yourself up for success as you begin your classes.
Look for upcoming campus student group events that interest you, or visit the Student Involvement page in the handbook for some suggested student groups to check out in the first few weeks of class.
Registration Changes
Any registration changes you make to your schedule that are not ones discussed in your shared Google document SHOULD be confirmed by your PSEO advisor. You can change your schedule, but make sure you let your advisor know.
