What is YuJa?

YuJa is a media management system: it’s a place to store and share videos, a screen-recording program, a video editor, an auto-captioning service, and a repository for Zoom recordings.

What is YuJa good for?

YuJa gives you a way to create and share all sorts of video and audio with your students. It lets you add interaction to videos with simple quizzes. It lets you make your own copies of YouTube videos. It encourages students to take notes as they watch. YuJa gives students captions, a searchable index, and playback speed options. It’s good for creating reusable lessons.

YuJa is available in all Canvas courses. To activate your account, click on YuJa from your course navigation or go to media.ucsc.edu.
