OPIOIDS

Addiction to prescription opioids is an epidemic in the United States. PharmedOut has long been interested in the pharmaceutical industry's role in the crisis.

Dr. Andrew Kolodny, Medical Director of Opioid Policy Research at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and is the Vice President of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP) spoke at PharmedOut's June 2015 conference, The Real Risks of Rx Drugs. His talk, "The Opioid Addiction Epidemic" is posted below.

Dr. Kolodny also presented False Narratives & Manufactured Controversies about the Opioid Crisis for PharmedOut in March of 2021.
