Middle School Spring Tryout Information

High school sport specific parent meetings are scheduled by your child’s coach after teams have been established each season.

High School and Middle School Spring Sports Information

Students that are interested in participating in athletics in the winter must be registered on the FamilyID system. Part of the registration process is submitting the Section 6: Certification of Authorized Medical Examiner (physical form). Physicals must be dated on or after June 1st, 2023. 

**If your child was approved to participate in fall or winter sports you DO NOT have to submit another physical when registering your child.**

The physical MUST be submitted on the Section 6 form. Please do NOT upload physicals that are NOT on the Section 6 form.  The June 1st, 2023 date is a PIAA rule and there are no exceptions.

 Options for Athletic Physicals:

1. Schedule an appointment with the child’s primary doctor who will complete the examination.

2. Contact our team doctor, Dr. David Baxter, and schedule an appointment: 610-328-8830.  In the absence of insurance, Dr. Baxter charges $40 and $10 for an EKG.

3. Contact our school doctor, Dr. Robert Di Trolio, and schedule an appointment: 484-716-1559.  In the absence of insurance, Dr. Di Trolio charges $60.

4. Visit an urgent care facility such as: MedExpress, CVS Minute Clinic, etc…

**If the physical is scheduled with anyone other than the child’s primary doctor, please bring the completed Section 5: Health History form with you.  Please note, DO NOT upload the Section 5 form to the child’s registration, only the Section 6 form should be uploaded.**

You may upload your Section 6 Physical Form by scanning the form or by taking a picture of it with your tablet or phone. **Do not upload the Section 5 form** Once you have completed your registration and uploaded your child's physical your registration will be reviewed and then approved by our Garnet Valley Athletic Trainers. Your child must be registered and approved prior to trying out or practicing. Please register your child at least 10 days prior to the 1st day of practice so there are no delays in your child being able to participate.
