Meet the Regional Managers

Caroline Laxton, Regional Manager, Eastern US

Caroline Laxton is the Regional Manager for the Eastern U.S. She is passionate about helping organizations collaborate to reach their life-saving potential through reimagining Return-to-Home in their communities. Caroline’s 12 years in the industry includes five at Charleston Animal Society as their Director of Development where she created and produced the Charleston Firefighter Calendar featuring local heroes posing with rescue animals. This life-saving project raised millions for animals in need and went viral in its second year, putting Charleston Animal Society on the International (and National) map for the first time. Prior to her time in animal welfare, Caroline worked as a professional photographer.

If I Could Be Any Animal, I Would Be: A Kakapo, and not just because it's a fun name. They are a flightless bird that is known to be friendly like a dog.

Pets' Favorite Hiding Place: Hiding in plain sight right next to the TV. The cat just sat there and was motionless. No one could find the cat......while they were watching tv.

Favorite Part of Working With MFA: I know we're making a positive impact on communities. It's my favorite part and one I'm most proud of. Every partner we have serves a loved community that has pets and pet owners. We provide a simple and free service for them to use with no strings attached. I'm very proud of the work that we do!
