  • Glucose

Check for Understanding

  1. Which organisms are able to perform photosynthesis and which are able to perform cellular respiration?

  2. Explain how photosynthesis and respiration are considered complementary reactions?

Activity Key-

Photosynthesis occurs in chloroplast. Starts with carbon dioxide, water and light energy.

Photosynthesis is done by plants (autotrophs), in order to make oxygen and glucose which goes into cellular respiration (done by animals/heterotrophs & plants/autotrophs). It occurs in the mitochondria to make ATP!!!
