Assessments

At the end of a class session, you and your students might be wondering similar things and asking yourselves some questions: Did they learn? Did I learn? How can I tell? Have I changed? How do you know?

These questions can sometimes be answered easily and immediately. Other times, the answers may make themselves known over time. As instructors, we are accountable for assessing our students’ success and, to that end, we need to evaluate their learning. During this process, instructors assess themselves based on their experiences with a class, and those assessments can lead to adjustments in methods and changes to content.   On this page, we will examine the strategies for creating an effective online assessments and closely look at how to maintain the academic integrity of our assessments.
