The mission of our school counseling program is to provide support and guidance to all students as a means to foster
academic success, post-secondary and career preparation, and personal/social development.
Our counseling team welcomes you to a fantastic high school experience full of Eagle Pride! Throughout your years with us, you will find our services to be an integral part of your education. The primary purpose of Eagle Pass High School’s Counseling Department is to assist students in the development of meaningful educational plans that are compatible with their life goals.

In 2013, the 83rd Texas Legislature established the new Foundation High School Program as the default graduation program for all students entering high school beginning in 2014-2015. The State Board of Education adopted rules related to the new Foundation High School Program in January 2014.
FAFSA Information
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an application through the federal government for scholarships, grants, and loans. Even if you have other scholarships, grants, or loans this is a good opportunity to see if you qualify. You do not have to repay scholarships and grants, so there is a potential to receive more money for college if you apply. The FAFSA is awarded to students on a first come, first served basis, so it is important to apply as soon as possible. Please call your guidance counselor or stop by the guidance office if you have any questions. Apply on the FAFSA website.
Official Transcripts
When completing college applications, students must request to have an official transcript sent to their college(s) of choice. Please request transcripts in writing at the registrar's office. We recommend that students provide addresses for out of state colleges and universities if applicable.

High school student athletes that intend to participate in athletics be in compliance with UIL rules.
Selective Service Registration
All males must register for selective service when they turn 18 years of age. It is a federal law to register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Failure to register is a felony, punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 or five years in prison, or both. Registration is simple: pick up the forms at the post office, or go to the Selective Service System website.
