Monday 2/6 - What kinds of bad things do you think could happen if someone were to steal your identity? (7-10 sentences)
Wednesday 2/8 - What are the differences between buying a house and renting an apartment? What things do you need to consider if you're buying a house that you wouldn't have to consider if you were renting an apartment? (7-10 sentences)
Wednesday 2/8 In class project (due Thursday at 8am)
Work with the person at your table (your new roommate) to find a house that you would like to buy (on zillow.com) that would fit within your $300,000 budget.
(Presentations are scheduled for class on Thursday)
Your presentation should be done on a google slides (google's version of powerpoint) and shared with jcotter@assabet.org
Your presentation should have 4 slides:
1) picture of your place (or link to picture that you will show us), price, and any other interesting or relevant information
2) a list of at least 5 "pros" and 5 "cons" for buying your house
3) a SMART goal for making a 20% down payment for your house
4) conclusion - After doing this project, when in your life do you think you'll actually be ready to buy a house? Why?
