Monday Journal - What does it mean to "invest" money? Give some examples of how you could invest money. (7-10 sentences)

Wednesday Journal - There are 3 things that you should consider when deciding how to save and invest your money? (Safety, Ease of Access, Return on Investment) Explain how and why each of these things is important to consider. (7-10 sentences)

Thursday Journal (double entry) - Suggest an investment strategy for the following 3 people (% breakdown between safety, ease of access, and return on investment). Explain your reasoning behind each recommendation (12-15 sentences total)

- 25 year old living with parents, not married

- 35 year old, married with 1 child, bought a house 3 years ago

- 55 years old, 2 kids in college, 10 years left on mortgage

Friday Journal - What did you learn about saving and investing that could be helpful to you over the next 10 years of your life? (7-10 sentences)

You will be assigned 1 of the topics below. You and your group will prepare a 5 minute audio/visual presentation on that topic.

Each group member should spend...

5-7 minutes quietly researching & writing ideas (at least 5 sentences) in your journal (date and label it so I'll see it on Friday)

5-7 minutes discussing, planning & preparing your presentation with your group

4-6 minutes presenting (all group members must contribute)

Due Friday - 18-30 sentence summary of the other 6 groups' infomercials (3-5 sentences for each group).

The presentation summary will be half of your double "journal" grade for the week

Quiz Friday - If you are absent, please make it up in the library by Tuesday May 12th at 4pm.

Due Monday May 9th - Foolproof #17 "Investing" (#18 is extra credit)
