Project for the Week (3-7 slide google slide to be shared with jcotter@assabet.org by the beginning of class on Friday 3/30)

If you had $1,000,000,000 to give away, how would you do it? Your project must have at least 3 slides, meeting the following objectives:

1) What are you going to contribute your money towards? (pictures are great!)

2) How, specifically, are you going to benefit this cause? (get specific about your plan)

3) Why are you going to contribute your money to this particular cause?

Monday 3/26 Journal - Answer to the question of the week in 7-10 sentences.

Title your project "________'s Philanthropy Project" and share it with jcotter@assabet.org

Groups of 2 must present

Groups of 3 must have at least 3 unique charities and must answer all 3 questions for each

Monday In-class

1) Watch these videos and write a 5-7 sentence summary

2) You can work by yourself or in a group of 2. Create a google presentation titled "(your name)'s Philanthropy Project" and share it with jcotter@assabet.org

Tuesday 3/27 Journal - Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufLgv3nOe7c and write a 7-10 sentence summary of why Bill Gates is considered the "Greatest Philanthropist in the world."

As soon as you're done with your journal entry, continue working on your Philanthropy project.

Tuesday 3/27 - Thursday 3/29 - Continue working on your Philanthropy Project. Your project will be due at the beginning of class on Friday.

Thursday 3/29 Journal - Tomorrow will be our last chance to ask our DCU celebrity guests questions about personal finance. For this journal entry either:

1) Write a list of personal finance questions that you would like to ask our guest.

2) Write a summary of what you learned from our DCU guests.

3) a combination of both (7-10 sentences total)

Friday 3/30 - DCU Celebrity Guest! Meet in the lecture hall.
