Tuesday 5/9 Journal - Given the 5 options below, what would you like to do for your final project? Explain why you would like to do what you picked. (7-10 sentences)

Goal for the day - Decide what type of project you will do, who you will work with & create an outline for that project.

You will have 5 options for your final project:

1) A 10-slide business plan presentation (Company name & mission statement, target market, competition, equipment needs, product & services, location & space, hiring employees, paying employees, cash-flow projection, financing)

Mr. C will give you worksheets to help guide you.

2) A 5- page written business plan (containing the same information as above)

3) 5-page "financial advice" paper done individually on google docs and shared with jcotter@assabet.org by 11am on Tuesday May 16th

4) A 4-7 minute "infomercial" done in a group of 2 or 3, presented in class on Tuesday May 16th (ready at the beginning of class)

5) A 4-7 minute "movie trailer" done in a group of 2 or 3, presented in class on Tuesday May 16th (ready at the beginning of class)

All papers and presentations must cover (or provide advice) for each of the major topics discussed in class ((SMART) financial goals, budgeting, credit, borrowing money, insurance, buying/renting property, saving and investing) optional topics: avoiding fraud, taxes)

Infomercials or movie trailers must...

-involve all group members (in significant roles)

-include a visual component (but don't read from a poster board)

-include advice on each major topic (SMART financial goals, budgeting, credit & credit scores, checking accounts, credit cards, avoiding fraud, taxes, insurance, buying/renting property & investing)

-include a "personal story" of the financial "highs and lows" of a character, or someone (made up) who followed your advice

ALL DOCS & PRESENTATIONS MUST BE SHARED WITH JCOTTER@ASSABET.ORG BY 11:00 AM ON TUESDAY May 16th! (OR YOU'LL LOSE 20% CREDIT IMMEDIATELY)
