Privacy Policy — Clapping Find My Phone
This privacy policy applies to the Clapping Find My Phone app (hereby referred
to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Zentravyx (hereby
referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended
for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This
information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your
visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
- Advertising identifier (AAID) for ad delivery and measurement
- Anonymized crash reports and app performance data
The Application does not gather precise location information about your
mobile device.
The Service Provider may use the information you provide to contact you
from time to time to provide important information, required notices, and
marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider
may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. The
information requested will be retained and used as described in this privacy
policy.
Use of On-Device AI
The Application uses on-device artificial intelligence (TensorFlow Lite
YAMNet model) solely for the purpose of detecting clapping or whistling
sounds locally on your device. All audio processing happens in real time on
your device. No audio data is recorded, saved, or transmitted to our servers
or any third party. The model runs fully offline and does not require an
internet connection to function.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external
services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and their
service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties
in the ways described in this privacy statement.
The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by
its own privacy policy:
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected
Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal
process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect
their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate
fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not
have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have
agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Advertising and Analytics
The Application displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To provide
relevant advertising and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising Identifier (AAID) for ad personalization and frequency capping
- IP address for fraud prevention and ad delivery
- App interaction events for ad performance measurement
- Coarse location data (country/region level) for ad relevance
You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising at any time on your
Android device:
Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
For app analytics, the Application uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase
Crashlytics. These services collect anonymized event data, device
identifiers, and crash diagnostics to help the Service Provider improve
app stability and user experience. No personally identifiable content from
audio detection is collected.
Permissions Used
This app requests the following permissions to provide its core
functionality. We do not collect, store, or transmit any data related to
these permissions off your device, except as described in the Advertising
and Analytics section above.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
Used to detect clapping or whistling sounds locally on your device using
the on-device TensorFlow Lite YAMNet model. Audio is processed in real
time and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.
- Foreground Service - Microphone (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE)
Required by Android 14 and above to run microphone access in a foreground
service for continuous clap detection.
- Battery Optimization Exemption (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS)
Required to keep the sound detection service running in the background
when your screen is off. Without this permission, Android may stop the
detection service and the app cannot respond to clapping when your phone
is misplaced.
- Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
Used to show the alarm interface over the lock screen when your phone is
found through clap detection, so you can quickly see and stop the alarm.
This feature is optional and can be disabled in app settings.
- Schedule Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Used by the optional Smart Schedule feature to start and stop sound
detection at the exact times the user has configured. This feature can be
disabled in app settings.
- Modify Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS)
Used to temporarily raise the alert volume so the alarm can be heard even
when your phone is set to silent or vibrate mode.
- Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Used to display a foreground service notification while sound detection
is active, as required by Android.
- Vibrate (VIBRATE)
Used to vibrate the device as part of the alarm when triggered.
- Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK)
Used to keep the device awake during sound detection so the microphone
can continuously listen for claps.
- Receive Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
Used to automatically restart the sound detection service after the
device reboots, so users do not need to reopen the app manually.
- Internet (INTERNET)
Used only to display advertisements (Google AdMob), receive Firebase
Remote Config updates, and send anonymous crash reports to Firebase
Crashlytics. The app's core clap detection feature works fully offline.
GDPR Rights (For Users in the European Economic Area)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or
Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured,
machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for any processing based on
consent at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

- Legitimate interests — to provide and improve the Application, prevent
fraud, and ensure security
- Consent — for personalized advertising and non-essential analytics
- Legal obligation — when required by applicable law

California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights
Act (CPRA):

sold
- Right to request deletion of your personal information
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. However,
the use of advertising identifiers by AdMob for personalized advertising
may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA's broad definition.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Android device
settings as described in the Advertising and Analytics section.

Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by
uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on
your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.

Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use
the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Anonymized analytics
and crash data may be retained by Firebase services according to their
retention policies. If you would like the Service Provider to delete data
that you have provided through the Application, please contact
app.info@zentravyx.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13 in the United
States, or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area (or such
lower age as permitted by local law). The Service Provider does not
knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If
the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal
information, that information will be deleted immediately. If you are a
parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided personal
information, please contact app.info@zentravyx.com so the Service Provider
can take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality
of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic,
and procedural safeguards to protect information that is processed and
maintained. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over
the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The
Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with
the new Privacy Policy and updating the effective date. You are advised to
consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is
deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your
information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
