The effort integrated existing travel per diem rates, airline city-pair costs, and a travel calculator for estimating the cost to host a meeting or training event. The effort was recognized by Vice President Gore and Government Executive Magazine and awarded Travel Manager of the Year honors.

Investigated and implemented a cost effective process for processing spare parts that were potentially exposed to Anthrax. Developed a methodology and the necessary metrics to identify system inefficiency and effectiveness for the Defense Logistics Agency. The mathematical programming methodology served as the seminal program for comparing the performance of supply depot operations. This simple, yet effective methodology used data that were readily available and allowed the Defense Logistics Agency leadership to empirically evaluate the efficiency of the supply operations.

Supervised and managed a $2 million, 12 person, integrated team of government civilians and contractors, in support of the Joint Staff/J-8. Responsibilities included supervising the development and presentation of JWARS combat simulation model training, day-to-day management of the JWARS & TACWAR Help Desk and Internet web sites, assisting users with JWARS installation, initial set-up and configuration of the JWARS software, and configuration management, maintenance, and distribution of the TACWAR combat simulation model.
