Cibola High School Library’s mission is to encourage, promote, and assist students and staff in becoming effective and discriminating users of ideas and information, and to foster the use of a library for lifelong learning through intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats. The Cibola High School Library provides instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
Welcome to the Cibola High School Library page! Whether you are looking for some enjoyable reading material or doing research for class, the library is able to help you find what you need. Our library has an online catalog allowing students to access the YUHSD library holdings. Full-text databases and electronic books are also available to aid students in their research. Students can search our catalog and databases: YUHSD Online Catalog anywhere with an internet browser even off-campus. Check the "Cibola Library " course on Canvas or stop by the library and pick up a bookmark with usernames and passwords for access to the catalog, eBooks, and databases off-campus.
Our campus collection also includes books, eBooks, magazines, graphic novels, reference books, career books, and Spanish language books. The CHS Library provides various services to help students meet their academic needs such as computer access, printing, copying, and interlibrary loans. Computer use is monitored to ensure appropriate school-related use.
The library is open before school and during school. During the school day, each student must have a handbook pass from their teachers (unless the student is on lunch). If the library is closed signs with be posted on the front doors. If you need to use the library after school please contact Ms. Coltman to set up an appointment.
