The mission of our ESL teachers is to help English language learners (ELLs) become fluent in English and communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms. ESL teachers work with ELLs to develop literacy and academic skills in grade-level content areas. 

Some specific goals of our ESL program include: 

• Helping ELLs develop the ability to understand, read, listen, speak, and write in English 

• Maximizing on ELL students' strengths and assets 

• Ensuring ELL students receive rigorous curriculum standards 

• Helping ELL students achieve high levels of academic success 

• Encourage ELL students to maintain their native language while learning English
