Our laboratory conducts research across a broad range of energy and environmental catalysis and storage systems, all built on materials we synthesize in-house. Our research themes include photocatalysis (hydrogen production via water splitting, antibacterial applications, CO₂ methanation, and solar cells), water electrolysis catalysts (OER, HER), oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts, secondary battery materials (NCM, LFP, LLO, Si and graphite anodes), thermal catalysis for turquoise hydrogen production, and adsorption materials (NH₃ and CO₂ adsorbents).
Beyond materials synthesis, we place strong emphasis on rigorous characterization and performance evaluation, including in-depth physicochemical analysis, electrochemical and catalytic performance testing, mechanistic studies, and in situ/operando analysis to elucidate structure-property relationships. This integrated approach — from materials design and synthesis to advanced characterization and mechanistic understanding — allows our lab to contribute meaningfully to next-generation energy conversion and storage technologies.
