Charlotte High School's
Naval Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps
Welcome, it is our pleasure to have you joining one of the best NJROTC units in the state. We are honored to have you as part of our program for the 2016-2017 school year. We have the ingredients to be OUTSTANDING and it is up to us to use them. We have a highly motivated staff full of talent and dedicated to commitment and loyalty. With all of our returning and new cadets, we are sure to have another great year. We strive to have a safe, fun, and enjoyable time in our unit and do our best to ensure that being a cadet in our program will make your years at Charlotte High School exciting and beneficial. We want nothing more than to provide you the recipe for success and help you prepare for the job or career of your future. With that being said, our traditional website can be found by clicking the link above.
The CHS NJROTC unit is a family and we strive for all to embrace and live that culture through respect and discipline. With the diversity we share, it is understandable we won't always get along, but we always come together in the end and resolve any issues that may occur. We are always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Please look out for your shipmate and never hesitate to ask for assistance. That's why myself, Chief Williams and your cadet staff are here to support you and your continued growth in the program. This will require that you give your best effort at all times. Each cadet is expected to not only to improve themselves but to improve the unit as a whole and earn the respect of their fellow cadets.
We have many different opportunities to get involved during your time here such as Drill, PT, Orienteering, Academics and Air Rifle teams. Due to the efforts of each cadet within our unit, all of our teams place well at each event we partake in. Cadets can get involved with departments like Supply, Administration, Operations and Deck. We go to a variety of competitive events throughout the year and have plenty opportunities for you to grow. This is our community and we will help out in any way we can through volunteer events during the year. The hours you earn by doing these community service events add up and there is potential to earn a Bright Futures Scholarship. More importantly, it should give you the feeling of pride and accomplishment. We will participate in over 100 events throughout the year so it is strongly recommended that you get engaged as much as possible. If you find yourself at home playing video games every weekend, know that we have something you could be doing to improve yourself and your unit.
We sincerely hope that every one of you enjoy this program and learn something new every day. Knowledge is Power. During your time in the program, regardless of how long that is, we encourage you all to represent CHS NJROTC as proudly and professionally as possible. We look forward to another successful year and hope you do too. If there are any questions or requests, please feel free to click on our Contact Us link. The calendar for any activities can be found below or under the Operations Department and any needed paper work can be found under the Admin Department.
