The Mahoning Commons Association (MCA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed as a legacy of the City of Youngstown’s bicentennial and Mahoning County’s sesquicentennial in 1996 for the purpose of preserving, promoting and enhancing the property in the historic area bounded by the Mahoning River, I-680, and the Mahoning Ave and Spring Commons bridges. The Mahoning Commons area is home to an eclectic mix of residents, artisans, services, public agencies, religious, social and cultural organizations, and a variety of businesses.

Improve the appearance & image of the district.
Develop plans and advocate for their implementation.
Strengthen the connection of the area to Mill Creek MetroParks, the Mahoning River, and Downtown Youngstown.
MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP
Business - $30.00
Property owners, business operators, and religious, social and cultural organizations. Business members are eligible to vote and hold MCA office.
Resident - $15.00
Owners of residential property in the MCA area. Resident members are eligible to vote and hold MCA office.
Associate - $15.00
Associate members are those who support the association's purpose and goals but do not own property, operate a business or reside in the area. Associate members are not eligible to vote or hold MCA office.

MEETINGS
MCA meetings are held at noon on the first Tuesday of every month at MCA businesses or organizations. The Annual Meeting is held at noon on the second Tuesday in October. Below is the 2023 and 2024 meeting calendar with some locations TBD:
