SADD is a student group, that strives to empower others to make positive decisions while promoting health and safety. SADD’s mission is to “empower young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them throughout their daily lives.” Our SADD Club empowers young people through education, outreach, and prevention activities at YHS and within the larger Yorktown community. Some of the prevention activities we lead consist of a trip to the elementary schools for Red Ribbon Week, caroling at a local nursing home, providing education about the dangers of driving under the influence, and many more. Our student leaders work towards creating change through encouraging choices that will promote a healthy and productive lifestyle for all.
