Yorktown CSD was recently profiled by Breakout EDU for our innovative ESTEAM approach to learning! Fifth Grade Teachers Ms. Muldoon and Mrs. Strang, with support from Tech Integration Specialist Mrs. Amanda Burns, wrapped up a science unit on Earth’s spheres by challenging students to create their own Breakout EDU games. The result? A fun, hands-on project that had students solving real-world problems, collaborating with classmates, and sharing their creations with families during a special show-and-tell night.
