Crompond Students Showcase ESTEAM Projects
June 3-7 was ESTEAM week at Crompond Elementary School!
ESTEAM, the District’s innovative approach to learning, places Empathy at the forefront of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math. Each class project is one-of-a-kind, designed by teachers to spark curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Here's a glimpse into some of the amazing projects:
Ms. Palmieri's 4th graders designed and built prototypes for adaptive toys, showcasing empathy for children with disabilities. They even created websites to showcase their creations!
Ms. Courtemanche's 4th graders created prototypes and marketing materials for inventions that make difficult tasks easier.
Ms. Reynolds' 5th graders championed endangered species! Their projects raised awareness through displays and stories, inspiring ways to prevent extinction.
Ms. Hyndman's 5th graders took us on a thrilling outer space adventure! Students designed fictional planets where they could create sustainable communities.
Ms. Vegliante's 5th graders built opinion writing roller coasters in Minecraft Education! Each rollercoaster section showcases their persuasive writing, like why kids deserve a later bedtime or a longer recess.
We're so proud of Crompond's young innovators!
