On Saturday, April 22, we were thrilled to unveil our new, state-of-the-art display board at the high school turf field.
The unique digital display board boasts over 600 square feet of display space and was funded by a grant from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
In addition to athletics, this display board will provide countless benefits for our Yorktown students. From ceremonies and fundraising events to movie screenings, the possibilities are endless. We are also excited to see how students interested in sports media can utilize this resource.
We are grateful to former state Senator Terrence Murphy, who played a pivotal role in securing the grant on behalf of the District.
We would also like to thank the Yorktown Central School District Board of Education for their unwavering support of this project, as well as the Town of Yorktown's town supervisor and highway superintendent for their assistance in placing the display board.
After years of dedicated effort, it was truly gratifying to see this project come to fruition. We are confident that the board will serve as an invaluable asset for our community for years to come, and we can't wait to see all the exciting ways it will be used.
