Crompond launched its One School One Book campaign on Monday, April 10, with an exciting kickoff assembly that featured magician Joe Holiday and his “Reading Rocks” magic show. The campaign aims to promote a love for reading among fourth and fifth-graders, who will each receive a personal copy of the book, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” The Crompond PTA generously provided the books for the students.
Reading specialist Mr. Flanagan and Crompond’s One School One Book Committee, in partnership with BOCES, organized the assembly to set the tone for a month of enjoyable activities and events centered around the book. The committee has designed a series of engaging experiences, trivia games, and other fun-filled activities to enrich the students' reading journey.
