What an unforgettable Community Day at Brookside! We were honored to host dozens of incredible first responders and highway workers who arrived on campus in a fleet of impressive big trucks and emergency vehicles — with many students getting a chance to sit behind the wheel!
Our kindergarten and first-grade students had the incredible opportunity to rotate between the Yorktown Police Department, Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department, Yorktown Highway Department, and Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. They received invaluable safety tips and witnessed first-hand the amazing work carried out by each department.
Thank you to the dedicated first responders and government workers who made Community Day truly special!
