Use of Security Systems

The Board delegates authority to the Superintendent or designee to determine the locations of security cameras in compliance with all laws.


Security recordings shall be used primarily for the purpose of maintaining safety and student management on District property and buses. However, the District may use security recordings for the purpose of evidence for disciplinary purposes. The District shall comply with all state and federal laws applicable to student records when such recordings are considered for retention as part of the student’s records.


The Superintendent will develop regulations governing the use of security cameras.
