Accident Prevention and Safety

The Superintendent or designee will develop reasonable measures to prevent accidents on the school premises, including procedures for students, employees and others to:


  1. immediately report any conditions involving equipment or buildings which may be dangerous to student or employee health or welfare to the Building Principal;

  2. immediately report any unsafe practices by anyone in the building or on the grounds to the Building Principal;

  3. restrict bicycle riding to only on the roadways, not the sidewalks, and in compliance with law. Recreational riding on the school grounds is prohibited during school hours;

4. prohibit use of skateboards, roller skates and hoverboards and similar devices on school grounds at all times; and

5. observe the 15 mile per hour speed limit while driving on school grounds.


Safety Devices


The District shall comply with laws and regulations regarding use of safety devices or equipment by students, staff and visitors who are engaged in or observing the instructional program.
