The Superintendent or designee will develop reasonable measures to prevent accidents on the school premises, including procedures for students, employees, and others to:
1. immediately report any conditions involving equipment or buildings which may be dangerous to student or employee health or welfare to the Principal;
2. immediately report any unsafe practices by anyone in the building or on the grounds to the Principal;
3. restrict roller skates, scooters (including electric scooters), bicycle riding (including electric bikes), to only on the roadways, not the sidewalks or other surfaces, and in compliance with law;
4. prohibit recreational riding on the school grounds during school hours;
5. prohibit use of skateboards and hoverboards and similar devices on school grounds at all times; and
6. observe the 15 mile per hour speed limit while on school grounds.
Safety Devices
The District will comply with laws and regulations regarding use of safety devices or equipment by students, staff, and visitors who are engaged in or observing the instructional program.
