In the event of a radiation emergency, upon the recommendation of the federal Food and Drug Administration and the direction of the New York State Health Department, the District will participate in the distribution of Potassium Iodide (KI) to students and staff.

Parents may withhold permission for their child to receive Potassium Iodide by filing a written “opt-out” statement with their child’s school nurse.
