The Superintendent, as chief executive officer for the District will have the specific powers and duties described in statute and will be directly responsible to the Board for their proper exercise. The Superintendent has executive authority over the school system and the responsibility for its effective functioning consistent with the policies of the Board, the laws of New York State, and the Commissioner’s regulations.
