Fundraising by School-Related Organizations on School Property

The Board believes that fund drives and/or material drives should be conducted only when there is some educational benefit for the students. The administration must approve these activities so as to eliminate the possibility of many drives being conducted simultaneously. If approved, the activities will be scheduled by the organization in collaboration with the District.

Any fund drive must be sponsored by the District, or a Board recognized school-related organization (including, but not limited to Parent-Teacher Associations, Foundation for Excellence, Huskers, First Nighters), and must comply with all other relevant District policies such as Student Wellness (5405).

Accounting for funds raised by school-related organizations is the responsibility of such groups.

District fund drives requiring door-to-door solicitation by students are strongly discouraged.
