Call for Workshops

Submission deadline for proposals: 15 March 2020

As part of this year’s International Conference of Students of Systematic Musicology (SysMus) the York Music Psychology Group (YMPG) is hosting a workshop day which will take place at the Department of Music at the University of York on September 14th, 2020. The workshops are meant to cover topics that are relevant for Early Career Researchers and submissions for workshops addressing the following subjects are particularly welcome:

· Transferrable skills and non-academic jobs – which opportunities exist outside of academia and how could such a transition look like?

· Publishing – how to prepare submissions for academic journals and what to expect

· Post-doc positions – how to find them and how to apply for them?

· Data Analysis

· Open Science

We specifically invite previous attendees of the SysMus-conference series who hold a PhD to submit an abstract, but welcome applications from others who have been awarded their PhD in the past 2-3 years.

Workshops should last between 60 – 120 minutes.
