Cafés are the cornerstone of my productivity. Some cafés are great for doing work in, whereas others are better suited to hanging out with friends. Here I write about the wonders of the cafés I visit, most of which are in York since this is where I'm based.

Riverview Kitchen

Biz-R Coffee House

[2025-02-15] (Durham) Thoroughly enjoy the raw snickers bar. Would be a great productivity place too.

[2025-02-16] *but not quite since we were seated next door. Still lovely though!

[2025-02-02] (London) Delightfully played some French and Spanish tunes!

North South - Cafe & Bar

[2025-01-04] Reading books. Dark hot chocolate was really good. Played "The Gambler" which was nostalgic for me.

200 Degrees Coffee Shop

[2025-01-05] (Low Petergate, York) Productivity. 75% of my exams, including my dissertation, were written on Table 10.

Ippuku Tea House

[2025-01-12] Not technically a café but enjoyed matcha (albeit in hot chocolate form) for the first time. Yummy Anko toast too.

Laynes

[2025-01-18] (Leeds) Perhaps the start of a new beginning?

Coffee Culture

[2025-01-19] Weird German lady says "the flush in the toilets were amazing".

Drift-In York

[2025-01-31] A great place for socialising and chilling + 10% discount for students!
