Biography

Joe Pearce is a Research Associate on the project. Their role focuses on streamlining transcription using ASR and using automated methods such as forced alignment and NLP to assist in the analysis of speech rate and lexical diversity. Outside of this role, they work as a Research Associate on the My Voice, My Glasgow project at the University of Glasgow, and as a Research Officer for a health & social care charity. Their broader research interests include qualitative methods, sociophonetics, health, migration, and gender.
